– the person or people doing the action

Only do this activity once for now.
Record your score because we will return to this after we’ve seen the video Spanish Regular Verbs.

2) The answer is always in the “yo” (or “I”) part of the verb
3) You need to use elements from the question in the answer
Example Question => “¿Quién le da comida al bebé?”
Example Answer => “Yo le doy la comida al bebé”.
Psst – don’t forget your full stops!

This part is all about the group of verbs I like to call “Changers 1“.
This is because they have to be changed in the ROOT of the verb.
In school, you might have heard your teacher call these “radical changing verbs”.
Background Story…
Sinéad is on Eramus in Almeria and is doing some “Retail Therapy” in a boutique in the city!
However, she is a little bit stuck on her verbs and so too is the “dependienta” (shop assistant) because she is not a native Spanish speaker either.
Help them out by completing their sentences with the correct form of the verb you see in brackets.
1) This is a conversation between Sinéad and the shop assistant.
– you are given a verb in brackets
– you are given the person doing the action in brackets
2) Complete each sentence with the correct form of the verb
Example Question => “(Poder, usted) repetir, por favor?”
Example Answer => ¿Puede repetir, por favor?
* TIP * – Think of WHO is doing the action – is it me, you, them, us etc.
* TIP * – Don’t forget your full stops!
This part is all about the group of verbs I like to call “Changers 2“.
This is group is similar to group above because the root need to be changed.
However, the difference here is that only the “yo” part gets the change and the change is different than before.

NO.
You can have a 1-hour Zoom class with me completely free.
Firstly, we will meet each other!
You can explain what things about Spanish are difficult or complicated for you. I will show you how I can help you to improve.
Most importantly, we will have a REAL class of grammar, vocabulary, listening, or comprehension – whatever you want!
NO.
Not at all.
All materials are provided free of charge.
The only thing you need is a good internet connection, and a laptop or tablet.
I am a Doctor (PhD) of Linguistics with Spanish and English and a qualified teacher (Cambridge) now, but I actually started Spanish as a hobby 18 years ago with zero idea of the language! I made all the mistakes, worked really hard, became an expert (a Doctor!) and developed the best ways to learn properly and retain what I learned.
As a teacher, I dedicate everything I do to show you how to improve, love the language and know what it’s like to be successful with it.
As one of my past students said:
“Dave gives so much time to your improvement and is really invested in your progress”. – Hannah Sharky.
YES.
All of my students report an improvement in their very first class.
This is because all materials and activities are designed to make you get better immediately.
NO.
This is a complementary English class with absolutely no commitment.
I hope you enjoy the class and learn with me.
However, if you don’t want other classes, that is completely OK!
