No matter whether you are studying Spanish for Junior Cert., Leaving Cert. or for general purposes, you need to understand and correctly use these two essential verbs.
2 FOR THE PRICE OF 1
In English, we use the verb “To Be” to talk about such things as emotions, locations, time, physical descriptions and personality descriptions.
Spanish, however, distributes these across the two verbs: Ser and Estar.
You can see three examples in the blue box below of what these verbs express in English.
